So, I recently received my first (and only) tattoo. It's Proverbs 3:5. For those of you who don't know...I will gladly tell you what it means. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path."
Throughout my life, this is the bible verse I have turned to the most. It has stayed with me through good and bad. After a few years of thinking about it, I finally decided to have it tattooed on my left wrist; ironically on the same side as my wedding rings to remind me not only for the next year, but for the rest of my life that the Lord is with me as long as I place my life in his hands. I can't tell you how many times I have looked at that tattoo within the last week to guide me through the rough days. It is everything I had aways wanted...and for those of you wondering....no it didn't hurt! It was just slight irritation, like being pinched. It only took about 15 minutes to complete. I had it done at Tattoo Jungle in Pelham by Mark. He's very thorough and sweet as well!
